Duration: 15 Hours

This course is for the over 55s who would like to learn about computers. It steps through the basics at a gentle pace, overcoming fears and nerves, and de-bunking some of the mythology that surrounds computing.

Elements of a Window
Introduction to MSWord, Internet Explorer and Outlook Express
Creating, Saving and Formatting documents
Proofing, Page Setup and Printing
Creating folders, Floppy discs
The Internet: getting connected, modems, ISP, web browser, world wide web, home page, searching, web address
Email: addresses, message components, sending, replying, Outbox, Sent Items
